Dragoons

Dragoons are basically elves with dragon wings. Some also have dragonic claws, giving them long claws instead of nails on their hands and toes, and scaled hands and feet, although this is a recessive gene. Average height for a dragoon is slightly below average for humans, but above elves. Originally created by Claeryn, the commonly-heard origin is that they are the result of a mating between fire dragons and elves.

Dragoons are typically serious people, and make excellent Knights and druids. Weapons with reach, like spears, are slightly preferred over swords. Dragoons and elves have a history of not getting along. They are about the third most populous species in Shadow Star, and many hail from StarScape or Kiridia.
