Kraenon

These are like large wolves, about the same size as the flamecats, 4 or 5 feet at the shoulder. They have a fearsome look, but are generally playful creatures by nature. Royals are only female and are marked by a black coat with a white belly and ruff about the neck. They can carry people, though most kraenon don't enjoy doing so and will only in exceptional circumstances. There are, of course, exceptions to the rule. Females typically raise one litter of between two and six pups in a year but don't have to, and many will mate for life, though this isn't the rule either. Names end in a double consonant.
